FRANKFURT, March 6 (Reuters) – A Lufthansa flight to Riyadh was diverted to Cairo for safety reasons, the airline’s CEO Carsten Spohr said on Friday.
Reason for Diversion
The company said that the regular scheduled flight, which took off from Munich on Thursday evening as scheduled at 2045 GMT, was diverted to Cairo due to the temporary closure of the airspace above Riyadh.
